Phyllis J. (Childs) Neu

Messages of Condolence

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing the past 70 years of your life with me.  What a great life it has been.

Love you dearly,

Paul

My amazing, beloved mom you have gained your wings.   If there is any comfort one can have in this time of deepest sorrow, it is in knowing that now, there is no more pain for you to suffer.

You have given so very much and asked for nothing in return.  Thank you for always being there, for teaching me, giving me new experiences, listening and helping me, loving me, always paving the way and pushing me to visualize and strive to reach beyond my potential.   You were simply magnificent.

Mom, you are in my heart always, and I will miss you beyond words.

Kathie

I first met Phyllis and Paul Neu on the day I married Kathie Neu on October 3, 2009.  Having lost my own parents over 30 years ago, I quickly adopted them as my own, and found comfort in their acceptance of me as a new family member.

I found Phyllis to have a wonderful sense of humour and quick wit, to be insightful and thoughtful, and possessing a deep and endearing love for her husband, Paul, and her children.  We shared laughs and chuckles as we exchanged quips, making each visit fun and welcoming.

When I was recovering from an operation in the hospital a year or two ago, she called Kathie every day to find out how I was doing.  That is just a small testament to the depth of her compassion and capacity for love.  I respected her deeply, and valued highly her comments and shared insights.  I am having trouble grasping that she is gone, and it will leave a huge hole in my life.  She was one of those people who made a difference in life, and our world was made a better place with her in it.  I will miss her.
